Year of Grace

The Australian Catholic Bishops’ Conference is inviting all Australian Catholics to join them in a time of prayerful, spiritual renewal.

Together, we are invited to refocus our hearts, our lives and our actions on the presence and person of Jesus Christ.

Throughout Australia – in parishes, families, religious communities, and schools, Catholics will participate in A Year of Grace, to be held from Pentecost 2012 to Pentecost 2013.

A Year of Grace is an opportunity to enter into prayerful discernment about the ways in which Christ is present among us here and now, and about the ways in which Christ is calling the Catholic Church to move confidently into the future.

It is an opportunity for moments of grace: naming and celebrating the presence of God in every dimension of lives and our world, and becoming more deeply connected to that life-giving presence.

Most importantly…

It’s not another thing to do – it’s another way to be.

I invite all Catholics in the Diocese of Bunbury to take this opportunity to strengthen and renew their faith through A Year of Grace.

The Most Reverend Gerard Holohan
Bishop of Bunbury

‘In starting afresh from Christ, we are seeking to bring about a fresh understanding of the infinite love of Jesus for us. When we know Jesus Christ personally and when we encounter him in the Scripture, in the Eucharist and in one another, we cannot help but seek to know him more – and this is what evangelisation is all about.’

Archbishop Mark Coleridge, Archbishop of Canberra-Goulburn
