Catholic Care

CatholicCare is the charitable arm of the Bunbury Diocese. It was established in 2003 as a result of Bishop Holohan’s desire to provide for current and planned Church assistance for social needs throughout the Diocese.

CatholicCare’s motto is “People Helping People”. It provides funding for people willing to assist those in need across the general community throughout the Bunbury Diocese, irrespective of their religious affiliation or non-affiliation. So far, these needs have included initiatives related to family crises, the special needs of the elderly, seafarers, drug victims, and women facing crisis pregnancy.

Donations received by CatholicCare are used exclusively within the geographical boundaries of the Bunbury Diocese. All donations are quarantined from, and accounted for independently of, other diocesan and parish funds. Distribution of funds is under the personal supervision of the Bishop of Bunbury.
