The fundamental principle of the agency is to support and nurture the intrinsic value of human life and therefore Pregnancy Help (Bunbury) does not advise, provide or refer for abortion or abortifacients. The agency seeks to engender an atmosphere whereby clients are enabled to become fully self-determining and therefore the services of Pregnancy Help are provided to clients in a non-judgemental manner and without discrimination regarding race, creed, sex, colour, national origin, age or marital status.
Pregnancy Help (Bunbury) does not engage in counselling techniques which may jeopardise the integrity of the agency as a reputable and ethical counselling and support service. Scare tactics which are explicitly and aggressively anti-abortion such as pictures, slides or film of aborted foetuses, or exaggerated descriptions of the medical and psychological consequences of abortion are unacceptable within Pregnancy Help because these methods impair a client’s capacity to make her decision in a free, caring and accepting atmosphere.
