Bishop’s Pilgrimage to India

Bishop Gerard Holohan made a special trip to India in January 2013. The purpose of this trip was to visit the families of the priests. There are six priests from India presently ministering in the Bunbury Diocese.

Bishop Gerard was happy to experience firsthand the background the priests come from.

During his visits to the families, he expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the families for offering their sons to God and thanked God for giving them to the Bunbury Diocese. He spent a couple of hours with each family, shared a meal with them and offered them an Australian gift (a symbol of the aboriginal people).

The families of the priests were very glad to have Bishop Gerard visiting them. They were filled with joy at the presence of the bishop and appreciative of his efforts in making such a long trip to be in their midst.
